The Institute of Informatics discusses a master’s thesis on the use of artificial intelligence methods to improve network and communications services. The Master’s thesis of the student (Ali Qasim Muhammad) was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies, and the session was held on Monday, March 10, 2025. The study, in the field of computer science, is titled: “Soft Computing Based Packet Scheduling in Core Routers to Improve the Quality of Experience.” The thesis uses artificial intelligence methods and employs them to improve the quality of user experience and the overall quality of service for networks and communications. It also works to improve three main areas within the scheduling algorithms for network router queues by dealing with real packets for networks within routers that represent the backbone of connecting Japan to the world. The student (Ali Qasim Muhammad) obtained a master’s degree with distinction in computer science.
