The Dean of the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi, participated in the second Iraqi Digital Space Forum, themed “Public Digital Infrastructure,” which was held on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Professor Dr. Hadi participated in a panel discussion titled “Data Integration and National Digital Infrastructure,” where she emphasized the necessity of preparing and developing human resources and investing in the scientific capabilities of Iraqi master’s and doctoral students to achieve and ensure the success of the digital transformation process. She stressed the importance of utilizing the expertise produced by Iraqi universities specializing in informatics, including the University of Information Technology and Communications, represented by the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies and its students, given their scientific potential, rather than relying on external expertise. She also emphasized the need to establish integrated national data centers and maintain the security and privacy of the data stored within them. The Iraqi Digital Space Forum was held with the participation of representatives from government institutions, the private sector, academic institutions and international organizations. The forum discussed several topics such as digital identity, digital governance, digital payment, data integration and other topics that are essential for building an integrated national digital space.
