The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies hosted a delegation of German university professors and representatives from the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications (Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri) and under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies (Prof. Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi), the Institute hosted a delegation of German university professors. The delegation, in cooperation with the Arab and International Organizations Department of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was also attended by the University President’s Assistants, deans of colleges, and institute assistants. The delegation was introduced to German universities and the most important studies and specializations offered by their colleges.
The Dean of the Institute welcomed the visiting professors and explained the importance of the Institute of Informatics as an incubator for graduate studies in Iraq. She also highlighted the progress of research conducted by students in the fields of informatics at the diploma, master’s, and doctoral levels, as well as the implementation of automated systems at the Institute.
The deans of the faculties of the University of Information Technology and Communications presented an overview of their faculties’ orientation, students, and academic capabilities. The meeting discussed avenues for cooperation and collaboration between the university and German universities. A lecture was also given by one of the professors from the visiting delegation on how to enroll at German universities and the system followed for accepting students from outside Germany into undergraduate and graduate studies. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Institute honored the German delegation and its accompanying delegation, expressing her thanks and appreciation for the visit and emphasizing the university’s commitment to expanding horizons of scientific and research cooperation by opening channels for both students and faculty members under the umbrella of programs supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations. These channels include student training and developing the competence of faculty members at the Institute and the faculties of the University of Information Technology and Communications, thus contributing to openness to modern international experiences.
