The PhD thesis of student Baidaa Jaafar Sadiq was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies today, Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The thesis, in the field of computer science, was titled:
“Improving Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Encryption to Secure Virtual Meetings.”
The thesis proposes a video communications encryption system based on a hybrid technique using AES for aggregate encryption, RSA for secure key exchange, and HMAC for integrity verification. It aims to contribute to the theoretical aspects inherent in cryptographic security for video communications and achieve real-world applicability.
Baidaa Jaafar Sadiq earned her PhD with a very good grade in computer science.
