The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies witnessed today, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Ph.D. dissertation defense of the student Sura Riyadh Saleh.

The dissertation falls under the specialization of Computer Science and is entitled:
“The Use of Machine Learning Methods for Diagnosing Different Brain Diseases Using MRI & MRS”

This dissertation proposes a framework that leverages machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence to integrate structural and functional imaging data, contributing to enhanced accuracy of MRI scans for diagnosing brain diseases and supporting clinical decision-making.

The student Sura Riyadh Saleh was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science with a grade of Excellent.
