A Master’s thesis defense was held at the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies for the student Rasha Abbas Ali. The defense session took place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and the thesis falls under the specialization of Computer Science, entitled:
“Land Cover Change Detection Based on Spatial Data Mining in Iraq Environment”
This thesis aims to analyze and understand the changes in land use and land cover by designing and employing software tools capable of accurately tracking these changes. This contributes to developing effective strategies for preserving natural ecosystems, ensuring the sustainable management of resources, and limiting unplanned urban expansion.
Following the discussion, the student Rasha Abbas Ali was awarded a Master’s degree with a grade of (Fair) in the field of Computer Science.
