The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies held a joyful celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8th of each year. The celebrations were honored by the presence of the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, and the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Ali Hassan Tarish. The celebration included various segments aimed at highlighting women’s issues and the importance of their role in building societies and nations. The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, indicated in her speech at the celebration that women play a major role in laying the foundations for creating a virtuous and developed society. She explained that women are found in all aspects of life, as they are educators, teachers, and great supporters of men. Through women, society can develop and achieve great accomplishments. The doctor highlighted some of the pivotal aspects that women have undertaken through their work in all fields, especially in educational institutions. She explained how working women have been able to assume more than one role in serving science and knowledge. She went on to clarify many aspects, especially women’s efforts in supporting men for Achieving accomplishments in all fields.
The ceremony included the distribution of gifts to distinguished women and the appreciation of their tremendous efforts in serving the community and academic progress.
The curtain fell on the ceremony’s highlights with the grand honoring of the women and the warm celebration, which provided a strong moral incentive for women to continue their contributions to the public good.
