The Institute of Informatics Discusses a Master’s Thesis on Intelligent Cybersecurity Mechanisms
A master’s thesis by student Karrar Majid Jassim was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications. The discussion session was held on Wednesday, October 27, 2025.
The thesis, in the field of Computer Science, was titled:
“Intelligent Cyber Security Mechanisms for the Internet of Things (IoT) Environment.” This thesis proposes a lightweight intrusion detection system based on hybrid deep learning using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and long-term and short-term memory networks.
Student Karrar Majid Jassim was awarded a Master’s degree with a grade of “Good” in Computer Science.
