The head of the Iraqi Computer and Informatics Authority visits the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies.

The President of the Iraqi Computer and Informatics Authority, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, accompanied by the Dean of the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, conducted an inspection tour of the institute’s scientific and administrative departments. Al-Bakri discussed with the heads of departments and divisions the most prominent challenges and obstacles facing their work and directed that these problems be overcome. He also reviewed the significant developments witnessed by the institute recently, including the transition to an electronic format.
For her part, the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, explained the stages of development taking place in the scientific and administrative departments. She also presented a chart showing the upward trend in the academic level of graduate students studying at the institute, based on the titles of theses submitted at the master’s and doctoral levels. These theses were characterized by a quality that seeks to advance the country’s academic level and serve the community and relevant ministries.
The Dean also indicated that the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies will witness continuous development in the coming period at all levels in order to provide the best scientific and service services to its students. Dr. Abbas Al-Bakri’s visit comes as part of his continuous follow-up of the correct academic process and to draw broad outlines that will serve as a future work plan.
