The Fourth Annual Scientific Forum of the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies Launches

The Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications held its fourth annual scientific forum under the title “Applied Research for Developing the Digital Infrastructure of Iraqi Ministries.” The forum was held under the patronage of the Dean of the Institute of Informatics, Professor Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi, and with broad official and academic attendance, including a number of members of parliament, university presidents, and representatives from Iraqi ministries and institutions.

The fourth annual scientific forum of the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies was launched in the presence of Member of Parliament Dr. Maha Mahmoud Al-Alwani, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, the Advisor to the Prime Minister, Dr. Hussein Flamerz Taher, the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, the President of Al-Farabi University, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Mahdi Al-Jubouri, the Head of the Security Media Cell, Lieutenant General Dr. Saad Maan, and a number of academics.

In his opening address, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd praised the role of the Informatics Institute in enriching the scientific sector with rigorous research and highlighted the university’s role as a hub for technology. The President of the University of Information and Communications Technology also delivered a speech outlining the university and institute’s role in the qualitative digital transformation process, built upon academic and research foundations.

The Dean of the Informatics Institute for Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi, concluded the event with a speech emphasizing the importance of applied research conducted by the institute’s master’s and doctoral students and the necessity for all government ministries to utilize this innovative research to address challenges through creative digital solutions.
