The PhD thesis of Hoda Dhari Sate’a was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies. The session was held on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
The thesis, in the field of Computer Science, was titled “Analysis of Retinal Images and Segmentation of Retinal Blood Vessels Using Deep Learning.”
This thesis aims to present a robust and accurate algorithm for analyzing images for the purpose of segmenting blood vessels, capable of capturing the finer details of the vascular network. It then presents an automated diagnostic method to support the early and accurate diagnosis of retinal diseases.
Huda Dhari Sate’a earned her PhD with a grade of “Very Good” in Computer Science.
