On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the PhD thesis of Zainab Khayoun Abdul-Ridha was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies. The thesis was titled:
Machine Learning for Cyber-Crimes Prediction Mechanisms Based on Deep Learning
The thesis discussed the increasing rates of crime on social media, particularly the “X” platform, in Iraq and the Arab world, and how to detect them by transforming predictive models into more predictive methodologies using user behavior analysis to provide accurate data to improve crime characterization and identification.
Following the discussion, the student received a PhD with a very good grade in computer science.
