The Master’s thesis of Suhad Nasrallah Taraf was discussed at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies. The discussion session was held on 12/19/2024. The study, in the field of Computer Science, was titled: “Text and Emoji Analysis to Detect the Sentiment in the Social Media Reviews.” This study aims to develop a framework for analyzing texts, symbols, and sentiments used by social media users by adopting a deep learning methodology to analyze the combination of Arabic texts and common symbols. The methodology was examined using Twitter databases, and the results showed high accuracy in accuracy metric tests. The student obtained a Master’s degree with a grade of “Very Good” in Computer Science.
