The Institute of Informatics discusses a master’s thesis on the deep learning approach to skin cancer classification. The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies discussed the master’s thesis of the student (Ria Star Shahada), and the discussion session was held on Monday, March 17, 2025. The thesis, specializing in computer science, is titled: “Double Dual Deep Learning Approach for Skin Cancer Detection.” This thesis presents a new solution that combines different architectural structures of CNN networks to extract features from skin cancer images with two forms of linear algebra methodologies. The student (Ria Star Shahada) obtained a master’s degree with distinction in computer science.
