The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies organized its third annual scientific forum under the title “Applied Research Towards the Digital Transformation of Iraqi Ministries.” Under the patronage of the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Suha
Mohammed Hadi, more than 27 master’s and doctoral students participated in the forum, presenting their applied research aimed at automating work in Iraqi ministries.
The forum program included several main themes, including:
- Security Theme: Focused on digital transformation in ministries and institutions concerned with security, defense, and the interior.
- Health Theme: Discussed digital initiatives targeting the Ministry of Health and its affiliated institutions.
- Administrative Theme: Addressed mechanisms for advancing public administration through the use of modern digital technologies.
- Industrial and Agricultural Theme: Presented digital projects aimed at developing sustainable irrigation and technical management of the industrial and agricultural sectors.


The forum included a distinguished lecture delivered by researcher Nour Al-Din Al-Khazraji from the United States. He highlighted the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in the field of digital currencies within Iraq, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in supporting an independent government economy. The forum also featured distinguished research presentations by a number of the institute’s students and graduates, in addition to the opening of the “Applied Research Exhibition,” which showcased practical models and field experiments in various fields. This forum is part of the institute’s efforts to promote applied scientific research and contribute to supporting the digital transformation process in Iraq, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
