The Institute of Informatics Graduate Studies Discusses Higher Diploma Student Projects
The Institute of Informatics Graduate Studies discussed a Higher Diploma student’s project. The discussion session was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
The student, Asaad Abdullah Hussein, presented his project entitled:
“A Deep Learning Approach to Question Answering on the Iraqi Academic Promotions Law for E-Government Services.” This study presents the design and evaluation of a hybrid question-answer (QA) system in Arabic, specifically for academic promotion laws within the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The system aims to assist faculty members in obtaining accurate and legally reliable answers from official documents issued by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The student, Asaad Abdullah Hussein, was awarded his Higher Diploma with distinction.
